In a few years, my babies won’t need me the way

In a few years, my babies won’t need me the way they do now. They’ll be off building their own lives, chasing dreams, making choices, carving out their place in the world. I’ll no longer be the center of their universe, the one they run to for every scraped knee, silly joke, or snuggle before bed. And while I know that’s exactly what I’m raising them for, there’s a little ache in my heart just thinking about it.

So today, I’m choosing to soak it all in. The messes, the noise, the endless questions, the sticky hands reaching for mine. Because these days won’t last forever. One day I’ll miss this beautiful chaos that sometimes feels overwhelming. These moments, right now, are the ones I’ll want back. So I’ll hold them close, knowing the future will come soon enough.

This fish color activity was so easy to put together using items we already had at home! I printed the fish bowls from Canva and it turned out to be the perfect activity for color recognition and counting. We even added a bilingual twist by practicing our Spanish by counting and naming the colors together! Simple, fun, and educational!
